 "Ironika" was the pilot episode of an animated "online soap opera", created by Vanguard Media, Inc. Ironika, created for Sony Online Ventures, featured the musings and misunderstandings of a near-future hipster, Ironika, and her cast of misfit friends. Ironika was targeted to a gen-X audience reared on anime and alternative comix; Gwenevere Singley designed the main characters of the soap opera to reflect the eclectic tastes of this audience.
